It takes a healthy relationship with self to love other people in a healthy way. Every christian should learn how to love themselves in a non-toxic way so that they don't harm themselves and other people they should love.

 

This is the second part of the love walk series. Tunde Cole shares practical insights on how to keep ourselves and family safe in our interactions with other Christians. It is important that we recognise that not all who claim to be Christians are genuinely one and we should judge people by their Christlike character tested over a reasonable period of time instead of how they appear or what they say about themselves.

We must always remember that all Christians are in different stages of maturity in our Christian walk and with this knowledge comes the responsibility to build healthy boundaries around our relationships with other Christians.

To understand this commandment, we may want to evaluate our definition or perspective of love and categorise our neighbours because different categories of neighbours may have to 'loved' in different ways.
